A Sad Indictment

Nothing can ever justify Violence against a spouse or children- EVER! The statistics are terrifying. 1 in 10 women report Domestic Violence against themselves or their children. We should hang our heads in shame that this goes on.

However, the people who represent the government and are there to protect vulnerable people, such as Family Conciliation, should do much more than hang their heads. That they can put reports before the courts with clear inaccuracies in them, and where they actually support the abuser by not investigating fully is bad enough, but when they can actually endanger women and children by saying they should be forced to have contact with their abusers, they should be removed from any sort of contact with vulnerable people.

In Miss K's case, the report stated that her former partner, a textbook Sociopath, should be allowed to collect the children from her home. This man has threatened to "beat (her) to death with a baseball bat". He even texted this to her. He has been CHARGED with this by the RCMP. The counsellor did not want to hear it, and refused to listen.

She refused to actually do her job. She was conned by the man, and she was more interested in standing in his backyard discussing exercise than she was in talking to his daughter. I have spoken to his daughter. She has told me the truth. She has put this in a statement which Family Conciliation have chosen to disregard. So let's see what this means.

By disregarding the counsellors statements, they have shown that they consider the report void, and that means they have shown no regard for their counsellor. This suggests they should dismiss her summarily. This woman is not fit to be a night guard in a builders yard.
